A grey day
You may love something or someone, but there are never guarantees that either those things or people will ever understand that love. But damn, I love the challenge of rainy days in autumn. The cool grey of the sky cannot overpower the yellows, reds, oranges of the foliage. And those dark burgundies, almost black greens. Simply spectacular.
I can miss blue skies, but the differing light is something almost earthen to work with. To contrast against.
And now, check this out. Curvy aspen trunks! I've seen a few individual ones, but this is like entering a disco in the '70's.
Now, that is positive PROOF that Colorado is drunk in the autumn. You can hear Abba in your head now, right?
I've had a margarita or two, so I'll just add one more image, before I type something completely embarrassing. This, THIS is how color changes happen. Now I need to capture some of those flame-red aspen stands. There are a few mindblowers around, that I have to snap. See y'all tomorrow.
